Seek Medical Care
It is important that you see a doctor immediately following your accident so that your injuries can be treated promptly. Many injuries become worse or heal more slowly if treatment is not sought immediately. And, with respect to your case, it may be difficult to prove that your injuries were caused by the other party’s negligence if you do not seek medical treatment and document your symptoms soon after the event.
You should continue to treat with medical physicians as long as you still are experiencing symptoms. When you see doctors, before each of your doctor appointments, you should carefully consider what symptoms and complaints you have so that you can give the doctor a complete list of your symptoms and complaints. You should not minimize or exaggerate your ailments to your doctors, as it is only with complete information that they can best treat you.
If a doctor indicates that your symptoms should subside, but they are not, it is important that you contact that doctor as soon as possible. Let the doctor know that your symptoms are not decreasing as they should.
